KAMARI

We arrived Santorini at night from Istanbul, so we spent our first night in Kamari (Its about 10mins drive from the airport to our hotel).

This place is famous with the black beach. The sands are all black in color and I enjoyed viewing the sunrise in the morning without any disturbance. (It's very quiet in the early morning!) However when comes to the afternoon, the place will be crowded with tourists having lunch here and enjoying their sunbath.

If you need a sunbed, it will cost you €5.

Our delicious lunch @ Kamari Al Fresco Pizza+Pasta located at Kamari Shopping Center. We also rented a car from Hermes Car Rental @ €35/day for 5 days. In fact, you don't have to actually rent a car for the whole trip because you can take bus to places such as Fira,Oia,Perissa...etc. Renting a car just for your own convenience.

OIA

Whenever people share about Oia, always comes with their experience viewing the most beautiful sunset. During peak period can be very crowded. Check the sunset times in advance and be there early to get a good viewing spot. However, you may also book a room located in Oia with sunset view, you don't have to squeeze yourself into the crowd. (Because of the location, room rate in Oia is higher)

Sunset view from Oia (Look at the crowd!)

There are also 2 places that you can enjoy the sunset view and it's not crowded! Here you go!

Sunset view from Akrotiri

Sunset view from Imerovigli

PERISSA

This is another beautiful black beach located in Perissa. We had our light lunch at Corner Cafe and enjoy the view while eating.

RED BEACH

After our lunch at Perissa, we visit this beautiful landscape which is near to the Akrotiri. We visit this place before we head to Akrotiri for sunset view.

Along the way to Akrotiri lighthouse, this is the beautiful scene you may enjoy.

Akrotiri Lighthouse - another place to view the beautiful sunset.

FIRA

I did my souvenir shopping in Fira so did many of the visitors, therefore it's always crowded here - the capital of Santorini. There's many souvenir shops around, you may take your time to visit around, too many choices.

Fira main bus stop

There's an old port at the caldera cliffs in Fira. You can walk down the 600 stone steps, hop on a mule or take the cable car to reach the old port from the top part of the Fira caldera.

FIROSTEFANI & IMEROVIGLI

These 2 villages near to Fira. The place is more quiet but I really enjoy the moment walking around and you can take a lot of nice pictures here. There are many hotels and cafe around. Some visitor may not like to stay in Fira because it's noisy, so Firostefani and Imerovigli are good choices. You can view the sunset, and it's very near to Fira. If you are not renting a car, you can take the bus to Oia, it takes about 25 mins.

Bye Santorini, I will be back one day!!
