Burger Burp at Burgertory SS15

I have been so busy before and after Shanghai trip until I have tons of things to be shared. Well, I have not saved my trip's photos into computer yet, gonna share it when it's all done.

Last Saturday my hubby suddenly insisted burger as dinner, I was thinking SS 15 will be a good place to hunt for burger. We included our both little sis went to "The Burger Shop", one of the famous street burger that we wanted to try long time ago, but they were not opened, I think they might be still on Raya holiday.

Next choice in our mind was Burgertory, which is located above Guardian. This was our 2nd visit, and as expected the restaurant was full of customers. You have to place an order first before looking for seats.

The menu (a big board showing all the choices) just beside the counter, and you will be given a number after order is placed so that they will serve the burger once ready.

You can choose to order ala-carte (only burger, price range from RM 13-RM 20++) or set (additional RM 7) which comes with free flow drinks + fries OR apple salad.

Free flow drinks you can choose either soft drinks or hot drinks (choices of coffee, tea, honey green tea...).

The burger may not look that big, BUT it is very filling! The patty is thick & juicy.

Our order:
* Portobello classic (comes with 3 slices of fried portobello mushroom + patty)
* Mighty B (comes with crispy onion, double patty and double cheese), add on fried egg
* Porky nest (comes with fried onion and patty)

Komugi Pudding

It's pudding time again :) I have to admit that my hubby loves pudding, but not all types of puddings can win his

Normally I'm the one always buying the bread from Komugi but I never notice the pudding, sorry hubby...

So this time we spotted the pudding and chosen original and chocolate flavor to try. For me, chocolate is always the safe choice, agree?

Original Pudding
The texture is totally different with Sweet Montage pudding. If you ask me, I would say the texture is similar with yogurt. Taste is rich with cheese, and at the bottom there is caramel that you should mix it with the pudding so that it will comes with some sweetness while the pudding is melted in your mouth. Portion is quite big, for small eater, I suggest you to share with someone, otherwise, you might feel a bit "jelak" because of the taste of cheese.

Chocolate Pudding
Surprisingly the texture is different too! Look at the picture, it is just like tiramisu, thick tiramisu. Taste like Milo but not so sweet, therefore, not a problem to finish it by your own.

In conclusion, so far above 2 puddings, I don't get to enjoy any smooth sensation pudding like Tau Foo Fa (beancurd jelly), but still make us tempted to try other flavors next time. Price is cheaper than Sweet Montage, it is RM 5.50 each, and they have promotion this month, buy 2 pudding to get 20% discount, so discount price is RM 4.66 including GST, almost half of Sweet Montage price!

Other available flavors that we are going to try next time

Mango, Green Tea, Coconut Azuki, Black Sesame, Strawberry

Here's their outlet address and contact number:

Leong Ya Kitchen Restaurant

I remember the last time I had my dinner at Leong Ya Kitchen (梁雅老招牌), that was many years ago, about 7 years ago I guess, in Puchong. And the other day I saw the signboard when I passing by Taipan USJ, wow, it reminded me of their famous paper wrapped chicken. So few of us went there for dinner yesterday after sports.

Here's the signature dish paper wrapped chicken (纸包鸡). Price is RM 4/piece, we ordered 5pieces, all were chicken drumsticks. The sauce is very tasty, especially when you mix it with your rice. The chicken meat is tender, just I felt that it is more delicious if you eat with the sauce because the marinated part only on the surface of the meat. Let's imagine how nice it is if you do not need to cut the meat and dip into the sauce before you eat it because of "not enough taste". Maybe my expectation is too high? :P

Other dishes majority comes with 3 serving size, S-small, M-medium and L-large. Since they recommend the yin yong pork rib, we give it a try. It comes with 2 different flavor, which is marmite and salad sauce, cost RM 28 (M) -it doesn't comes with S serving size. Umm...a bit disappointed as the portion is small, taste "ok" only and bones were more than the meat.

The stir-fry spinach is my favorite,  and it is cheapest in the vegetables selection. The small serving size of others needs at least RM 13-15, but spinach only cost RM 10. We ordered medium cost at RM 15 :)

Another dish is their signature fried tofu, we also ordered size M, I think total is about 14-15 pieces, comes with separate sauce. Taste was just ok, no surprise.

Plus another bittergourd soup, RM 12 (S), the portion just nice for 4 person.

Overall my first meal in Leong Ya USJ doesn't make me impress, but I will try other dishes next time. Will share it here again =)

How to apply China Visa?

It has been almost 2 years since my last visit to China. My last Visa was arranged by travel agent but this time I have to do it myself for my trip in July 2015.

HOW???

FOR PERSONAL (VACATION)

- 1x photocopy of your passport (2nd & 3rd page which shows your particulars & signature)

- Hotel booking confirmation (I have prepared this as backup, but the reception told me either flight OR hotel booking will do, my advice is just bring it along IN CASE they need both)

NOTE: If you forgot to photostat your passport or bring the passport size photo, they have a kiosk to provide the photocopy and photography services. (with charges)

2) Fill in the application form ONLINE or MANUALLY.

4) Fee & Charges:

If you are China frequent travelers, do apply for multiple entries. You may try to apply for 24 months, I got it approved for my last application back in 2013  :)

Additional Comment:

Business Trip? For those having business trip to China, I realize that more documents are needed for the visa application. They need invitation letter from China counterpart, letter from your company to proof that they are sending you to China for business visit, accommodation booking confirmation, contact person in China (to be filled in the form). Maybe it is easier to select "Tourism" as your purpose of visit. It's up to you!

Parking? Don't want to park inside Hampshire building? If you are coming with someone, just park at the roadside (Outside the building) if nobody occupy the space, and wait for you in the car. (If not mistaken, the space can occupy about 3-4 cars) Submitting form or collecting visa won't take you so long unless a lot of people are going there on the same day with you. :)

It was raining just now, sorry guys, I'm not able to take a clearer pic to show you the place.

If it is raining during your visit, there is a drop off place in front of the building entrance. After drop off, driver has to look for somewhere to park :)
