Unforgettable durian ice-cream at Inside Scoop

It's durian season!!! You will spot a lot of durian open air stalls around, and normally in PJ, people will think of SS2 durian stalls. Sis and I were actually craving for ice cream at night and Inside Scoop was our choice. We were wondering, do they have durian flavor today?

Once we get to the counter, oh yes, YES, we spotted the DURIAN flavor. Automatically it's in our list without trying. You can actually try the flavors before order, the staffs are friendly, so do not feel shy to ask.

Since they are famous with their waffle, we were so lucky to get the last waffle order of the day, phew~ sometimes it can be sold out very early. 3 flavors have been ordered, Durian+Pistachio+Peanut butter cup

Waffle with ice-cream (Triple) cost RM 22.50, for premium flavor such as durian & peanut butter cup, have to add extra RM 1.50 each.

This durian flavor had already win both of our heart, in terms of texture and taste. It was so rich and natural. Of course the waffle became so wonderful with the peanut butter cup on it. Although we regret to order 2 scoop of durian flavor, Pistachio in fact also a guaranteed choice :)

We will be back again for you...DURIAN!!!

My dinner at Alessio, Publika Mall

This is an Asian fusion & Italian restaurant. Just thought of trying out their food since I saw they have quite a nice ambiance.

As we were hungry, without thinking much, we ordered spaghetti and burger individually. Taste was average, the burger set may not sufficient for "big eater" :P Price wise - I would say you can just expect to pay for it as it's in Publika mall, unless you are going for their lunch promotions set meal. Just visit their Facebook  for the promotion details :)

Meltz Cafe SS15 Subang - Dessert time

Both my sisters are here and no doubt, these few days will be my "fattening" moment because we will be hunting for nice food and desserts.

We went to Meltz cafe for "supper", saw some recommendation from the web and would like to try it out.

Address: No. 41 (GF), Jalan SS15/4B, Section 15 Subang Jaya, Selangor
HP: 013-2076013
Facebook: www.facebook.com/meltzcafe

It was already 9pm+, and here's our orders:

Matcha Green Tea Latte RM 10
Berry Berry Yogurt Drink RM 10
Fruit Waffle RM 21
MexiCrunch RM 16

Sounds good? Let's have a look to the photos :)

Quite a nice ambiance, you need to order the food from the front counter and pay first.
Wifi password is printed in the receipt.

Green Tea Macha

Berry Berry Yogurt Drink - I like this!

Nice chips, big sausage ...burp...

A little big below my expectation. The waffle was a bit hard and cold. I was expecting more dark chocolate topping actually.

Overall we were OK with the food, but most important is we spent quality time together.

And, I will be coming back again to try their spaghetti... looks yummy :)

Life is Beautiful

Life Is Beautiful

1st time with TGV beanie seat

I know it's now school holiday, and I also know it's Friday, but I just can't wait to watch Jurassic World!

Finally I've decided to go for beanie seat instead of Luxe, and surprisingly the hall is almost full, most of them are kids. I'm just thinking, the kids nowadays are so blessed to enjoy such a luxury entertainment. (I guess some would agree with me?)

The seats cost RM 50/pair - 2 seats.  Maybe I should show the picture of beanie seat.

Ta da....

Yes, it is quite comfortable and spacious. However, I realized not all the seats are "comfortable" enough because we could not lay our head down.

Here's the trailer for Jurassic World.

Cast: Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, BD Wong and Irrfan Khann

Ikea - everybody's favourite place?

It's school holiday now, I wanted to get something from IKEA to decorate the room yesterday. I wonder, ummm...it's weekday, may not be so crowded as weekend. Without any hesitation, I've decided to head to IKEA after my lunch.

Phew...I managed to get a parking space just in 3 mins. Well, there were still a lot of visitors around, mostly are family, but it was not as crowded as weekend. I was relieved because I don't have to squeeze with others. Well, when I have chosen all that I wanted, that's time to pick up the items. OMG, I saw the queue at the counters which even longer than weekend.

Looks like IKEA is one of the places that attract Malaysian to hang out with friends and family, and not only to shop, they also famous with their swedish-style restaurant and please expect to queue if you want to go there. Price is reasonable.

You can get 3 hours free parking if you spend in IKEA. (Exclude restaurant). Just present your parking ticket at the counter and you will still need to validate your ticket at the parking machine before you leave.

Store opening hours:
Mon - Thurs: 9.30am - 10pm

Hong Kong

Our trip to Hong Kong is just about "EAT"

Day 1: We bought a sim card cost HK$ 100 from the 1010 shop @ airport as well as our octopus card (with HK$ 50 deposit - refundable when you return your card at the airport)

It's convenient to get a taxi from the airport. You can also take the MTR if your hotel is near to the station. It cost us HK$ 250 from the airport to InterContinental Grand Stanford Hotel.

We choose InterContinental Grand Stanford hotel because it is only 13 mins walk to the East Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station (尖東站). The hotel also provides free shuttle bus for customers. (Refer to below map). Check in process is pretty fast, comes with welcome drinks.

Room is clean and comfortable. They serve very good buffet breakfast and we got a free birthday cake delivered to our room as I requested it for my husband.

We arrived our hotel in the afternoon and rest for an hour, it was already 4pm++ in the afternoon and we proceed to go for our tea time.

These are the famous meal from Australia Dairy Co. (澳洲牛奶公司)that many has recommended - Scrambled eggs on toast & steamed milk pudding. As there's only 2 of us, look at the corner seat that the waiter brought us, we have to sit side by side facing the partition. (with the menu on the wall), ha!

Scrambled egg toast - HK$ 17, Steamed Milk Pudding - HK$ 26

The scrambled egg was really good but I'm not so into the steamed milk pudding, maybe the taste was too milky for me.

Australia Dairy Co. (澳洲牛奶公司)

G/F, 47-79, Parkes St. (2 mins. walk from MTR Jordan exit C2)
Closed on Thursday

We went to 6 座云吞面 (same row with Australia Dairy Co., 1-11, Parkes St.) for another meal.

This WanTon noodle set with soy bean milk and grill chicken stick cost HK$ 28. Worth the value.

We head to Victoria harbour first before our late dinner. Nice night view, and it's windy. I bought this delicious chinese tea egg (HK$ 6) from Wong Lo Kat stall (王老吉凉茶)near to the clock tower, taste good!

Day 2:

Due to Hong Kong Umbrella Revolution, some of the streets were closed, and we walked all the way from Nathan Street to Mong Kok.

Our dinner !! The delicious clay pot chicken rice. We were there at about 7pm but there's already a queue. There will be someone taking your order while waiting, so that they can prepare the meal first. The restaurant is not so big, so definitely you have to sit with strangers.

The clay pot rice and fried duck egg oyster cake are really good, but not the vege (a bit tasteless).

Clay pot chicken rice + chicken sausage + duck egg oyster cake + vegetable = HK$ 89

四季煲仔饭 Four Season Clay Pot Rice

Address: 50, Arthur St., Hong Kong

In fact, there are some other clay pot rice restaurants nearby as well that  you may try and compare.

If you are vegetarian, this is the restaurant you can consider - 珍心素食 @ 124-128B, Portland St., Hong Kong.

We tried the Tau Fu Fa (Soybean custard) 豆漿豆腐花, it's really good, very silky and smooth. (And not too sweet!)

Day 3:  中环 Central

It's already Day 3 and I haven't try the egg tart yet! This is "must try" pastry in Hong Kong.

Tai Cheong Bakery 泰昌饼家
35 Lyndhurst Terrace, Central, Hong Kong
